ONGOING RESEARCH SERIES / IMAGE SYSTEMS / PRINTED MATTER / 2022—

Images are central to the way contemporary reality is observed, organised, and understood. Operational Imaging investigates their role as operational structures, examining how they record, instruct, measure, classify, and shape the use of space.

Built through long-term field observation, photography, annotation, mapping, publishing, and installation, the project transforms fragments of everyday infrastructures into systematic visual frameworks. Visual evidence is edited, reorganised, and accumulated into evolving research systems, where images function as active instruments for interpreting and constructing reality.
